I keep this record the way some people keep a field notebook: irregularly, occasionally out of order, and mostly for my own benefit. Professional work, ongoing projects, actual photographs, and a small amount of fiction all end up filed here under whichever heading fits best that week.

Most of what gets written down here starts as a note taken somewhere less comfortable than a desk. It is edited into something readable later, when the details have had time to settle into whether or not they were actually true.
